The Paris apartment of Jean-Pierre Tortil, founder of Atelier Tortil, offers a glimpse into the world behind his work.
Surrounded by objects, artworks, materials, and references collected over time, the home reflects the same curiosity and sensitivity that inform his approach to design. Rather than a setting apart from his practice, it is an extension of it, shaped by the things he chooses to live with and the memories attached to them.
Through photography and film, we documented the apartment as a portrait of Jean-Pierre himself, capturing the details, compositions, and atmosphere that make the space distinctly his.
Life at Home
Photography captures the stillness of the apartment. Film allowed us to follow it as it is lived.
We filmed Jean-Pierre within his home, observing the changing light, the movement between rooms, and the small gestures that give the space its character. The resulting film offers a more intimate perspective on his world, allowing the relationship between the objects, the rooms, and their inhabitant to unfold over time.
