Introducing Cirque by Edgar Jayet
ROWDE partnered with Collectible Interiors to introduce Rue du Cirque, a Paris residence designed by Edgar Jayet.
Conceived as part of a collection of exceptional homes by leading interior designers, the project celebrates the dialogue between architecture, design, and craftsmanship.
Entrusted with complete creative freedom, Edgar Jayet approached the apartment by preserving its Belle Époque character while introducing a contemporary perspective. Rather than documenting only the finished interior, we chose to tell the story from the beginning, following the project as it unfolds.
Through creative direction, photography, film, and editorial storytelling, we shaped every stage into a continuous narrative that will culminate with the reveal of the completed residence.
First Impressions — Edgar Jayet
Our first chapter takes place in Edgar Jayet's Paris studio, where sketches, materials, archival references, and conversations reveal the thinking behind the project.
Guided by the apartment's original architecture, from its onyx baseboards and ornamental details to its connection with Marcel Proust's circle, Edgar shares the ideas that inform his approach and the balance he seeks between preservation and contemporary intervention.
The Renovation
As the transformation continues, we document the renovation in real time, revealing the process, craftsmanship, and decisions that gradually shape the apartment before its final unveiling.
