Poles Apart explores the space between opposing states, bringing rough and refined, dark and light, raw and polished into a single material language.
Cast in bronze and finished by hand, each piece reveals the process behind it. Surfaces shift between texture and polish, while layered patinas give the material depth and variation.
The collection continues Aguirre's ongoing exploration of bronze and its capacity to change through heat, treatment, finish, and touch. No two surfaces resolve in quite the same way, allowing the process of making to remain visible in the finished work.

For the launch of Poles Apart in New York, ROWDE filmed the collection within Aguirre's showroom, placing the pieces in conversation with one another and allowing their surfaces, proportions, and material contrasts to unfold through movement.
